In year five we are stretching our planning, distilling and capitalising muscles to plan amazing endings to Five go to a treasure island!
Will the family escape? Will pig puppet be saved? How will Lucy overthrow the wolves?
To help us develop our questioning we will be exploring a new guided reading text. We will think about what we know and what we want to know.

Five go to a Treasure Island – Kirrin Bay
The three children looked over the beautiful bay. Over the sand, glistening, foam-covered waves splashes gently, wyle elegant, white birds flew gracefully above The sand was scattered bautifully beneath the cliffs like a shimmering blanket. Stationary roks stood along the edge of the sand, with tough, seaweed covered stepping stones sprawling out into the sea. Nestled comfily in the cliffs, a large, white house looked over the bay. In the distance, the children saw a majestic castle.
Year five have been rounding 6 digit numbers today. They did an amazing job at stretching their noticing and perseverance muscles, and had lots of fun too.
Who will ill attempt my maths challenge?
Today in Y5 we created Pop Art in style of Andy Warhol. We planned our images, chose our colours and used cotton buds to create equally sized dots!
